It snowed today in Ottawa.
At least we got an early warning, so I managed to put the snow tires on the Mazda last night.
No more runs for the GT6 this yr. Means the oil change will be do with no more then a drive way idle. BOO.
The Ottawa Triumph meeting was a small showing, but I came with video and picts from the Glen.
I'm so depressed.
For what's worth, it got chilly down here in Florida, too. No snow, but it's time to break out the sweatshirts.

Like last year the snows came early. I arrived by train last year into Barfhaven and into a full wintry blast. Since I was on a holiday of sorts, I ended up shoveling a lot of snow out of driveways. We saw our first frost yesterday morning here in Oklahoma and the walking was perfect.

Sorry, I couldn't resist, after the poking I gave a colleague back east about this topic yesterday. He asked how the weather was in southern California. I had to rub in the fact that I still have the top off of my car, and likely will, for another few weeks.

">We have had beautiful weather here in the NW through October. I took the numbers off the "57 vintage racer/street car on Saturday and hit the public roadways for an afternoon of fun. I hear the rain is coming this weekend though.

I hear ya... we had our "traditional last show" on Sunday... And got snow yesterday as well (although it's all gone now).
The Spitfire has been on the dollies for a couple of weeks now... and will probably only come off to run to the gas station for a final fill-up with Stabil...
We're jsut hoping the weather stays clear through this w/e so we can get the 1800ES out to the body man in York, PA for some "nip in the bud" rust repair.
sigh... 
But at least I should get my Spit 6 in the garage soon for some wrenching. 
Massive, sudden snow here in NJ.
My Miata got stuck and I ended up abandoning it in a parking lot....walked home 4 miles. Walked back later to get it (in a pouring rain). We had no electricity for 12 hours.
The tractor trailer in the middle of the picture below is stuck on a local hill (on Rt. 206). I took the picture while I was walking home. Cars were trying to get around it (on the right) and got stuck too.
Lots of trees down (because the snow was heavy and our trees still have leaves to hold the snow). Kids in local schools were stuck in school due to the bad roads....busses couldn't bring them home. Two of my friends won't have power for at least 48 hours (according to the local utility).

The picture was taken in Byram Township (between Andover and Stanhope) just north of Waterloo Village. The hill is called "Catswamp Hill".
A tree fell down completely blocking my little side road (off Rt. 206). There were wires laying across the road too. Several hundred homes were blocked off as a result. When the local road dept never came, two neighbors just got out chain saws and cut the tree up and dragged it to one side. And they gingerly moved the wires off too, so folks could get out or in as needed (moving wires is a bit over-the-top for me). There were lots of other reports of good samaritans going out and clearing fallen trees (to help the overwhelmed road dept). It was sort of chaos all around here.
Wow... amazing how just a few miles South (I work in Somerset) we got almost nothing... the snow flew like mad... but didn't stick much.
