All sites seem slow tonight. Maybe all the people who run the internet are watching the Penguins and the Red Wings game.

Yes, nasty slow this week ... slower than usual ... apparently due to extenuating circumstances. No disrespect to CM, but of the 30-40 favorite sites I regularly visit, this one is by far the slowest on a regular basis, both getting into and navigating around in. I love the site, I just wish it was faster.

I'm working on the speed thing. I think the server fire is one factor this week (affecting a lot of sites), but I'm working on it.

Fire?
When will you guys learn, never store fuel by your over-clocked CPU :)

Yup, there was a transformer explosion -- man, it's cool saying that -- at the datacenter in Houston where the server is stored. Took out a LOT of sites, and took awhile to get everything back to up to speed.
Also, to be honest, now that GRM is sharing so much with Classic, the extra load is slowing things down. I'm working steadily on it and making headway. We all want to see 'em running faster.
