Want an "early" BMW? Then that may be for you! The Goggomobil was a microcar produced in the Bavarian town Dingolfing after World War II by Hans Glas. There was a conventional looking four passenger two-door sedan and a very sleek sports coupé. The engine was originally 250 cc but increased to 395 cc and 20 hp (15 kW). It had an electric pre-selective transmission and a manual clutch. The engine was behind the rear wheels. 219,531 sedans and 66,511 coupés were built from 1955 to 1969. Between 1957 and 1961 some 700 sports cars called Goggomobil Dart were produced by Buckle Motors Pty Ltd in Sydney, Australia. The Glas Auto works at Dingolfing were subsequently taken over by BMW.

The Goggomobile is a pretty unique little car but the one listed is way over the price limit for the condition it's in.
Don't get me wrong I love Micro/Mini cars and own several of them.
Stop & think how much time and money (5-6K) will be needed to restore this one.

Here's me with a Goggomobile "stepvan" at Lime Rock Vintage a few years ago. They must have been having a Convention, because another guy brought a Goggomobile Dart (mentioned above). The Dart is sort of an akward-looking, tiny roadster with only one door (left side on the LHD version I saw).
By the way, the Glas 1300/1700 GT is one of the prettiest coupes I can think of.

We actually had two Goggomobiles in our micro car story. I loved the design.
