**Classic Motorsports Presents the Southern Yosemite Automotive Film Festival** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dec. 27, 2007 -- ORMOND BEACH, Fla. Would a 40-minute car chase projected on a screen three stories tall leave you ducking for cover or salivating for more? Find out at the 2008 Southern Yosemite Automotive Film Festival Presented By Classic Motorsports magazine. We're rolling tape for a low-key weekend of feature films, documentaries and rarely seen footage from then and now, all starring our favorite hobby -- classic cars. Meet us on March 28-30, 2008, in Oakhurst, California, the southern gateway to Yosemite National Park. Be sure to bring your classic car, as we're holding an informal show that's open to all makes and models. $100 product certificates will be given out by a panel of celebrity judges led by Tim Suddard, publisher of Classic Motorsports to Best in Show , as well as Best Miata, new MINI, MG, Austin-Healey, Triumph and Jaguar. You and your classic will also have a chance to hit the open road later in the weekend for a poker run through mountainous Madera county. The Fest isn't all movies and vintage metal. Tours of Yosemite National Park, ski outings, golf tournaments, train rides on the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad and other family-oriented events are planned. Plus, what's a movie without food? Dinner will be served each night. ###Also at the Festival:### * Find out which well-known (but top-secret) film and automotive celebrity will be the recipient of the Southern Yosemite Lifetime Achievement Award for exceptional work in automotive films. * See the premiere of "Hot Rod Horror" from director Darrell Mapson. * Have the chance to meet famous race drivers, staff from Moss Motors and celebrity speakers--including Classic Motorsports Publisher Tim Suddard. * Shop for automobilia, automotive art, books and souvenirs, and peruse a stretch of racing exhibitions covering everything from race tracks to karts.
