Right watching this Reader Ride section, figured I should really speak more about my GT6.

In a nut shell in 2001 I was really itching to own a classic. I almost bought a Mustang, but truly wanted a late 60’s 911. The reality was I could never really afford a Porsche.

Then one day at work we spotted the ad online. Did a search and found a few limited images of a GT6.

Hook line and sinker.

So after more then 7 years of ownership this GT6 are well bound for life.

I’ve learned so many new skills because of the car, meet so many wonderful people and had a great time.

Still, out of all of this I learned some big lessons. Should have listened to my wife :)

I’d be driving a very well sorted out exotic by now if I had not gotten into the GT6, but no point in regretting life.

A.

I've always loved the GT6. Always thought the clamshell bonnet was cool. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments guys… Here are some of the things I've done to the GT6. Body, lots of sheet metal. See my site's gallery. Engine, carbs, exhaust, 5 speed conversion, suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, electrical and much more… Coming soon; Ignition, seats, interior and more cabrs???

Beautiful car. I'm jealous of how spotless you keep it!

Carson, thanks… but I think its a bit miss leading. She looks terrible right now. Finding life as a parent a little taxing. Hence only photo updates and no text on my site recently. That said, the rain for the first time this yr (properly) until the SU points style fuel pump packed it in. Also while adding an oil cooler is a good thing, it makes oil changes a huge nightmare. Still thanks for the kind words. http://www.gt6.ca/08/index.html

SU 1.75” Carbs are installed. Very impressive results. More tuning. Once I install the JOLT System, I plan on running the GT6 on a DYNO.
